Conditions of the visits
 
  • For conservation reasons, there is a limit on the number of visitors per day. We therefore ask that you plan your visit well in advance by purchasing your ticket online in advance. Once a ticket has been purchased, neither the date nor the time of your visit can be changed. No refunds will be given.

  • If there is availability on the day, you can purchase your ticket online until 9.00 am

  • Online tickets must be validated at the ticket office, located in the visitor reception centre (CRV). This is situated in the former Riclones school buildings. To find out where it is, click here. You must arrive between 20 and 30 minutes before the tour begins. The guide will ask to see your ticket 5 minutes before the tour starts.

  • If there is availability on the day, tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check the cave’s availability in real time before arriving, in case tickets are no longer available.

  • The tour will be conducted in Spanish. If you wish to take the tour in another language, please contact the bookings department to check availability.

  • There is a maximum capacity of 7 people per session.

  • Please follow the staff’s instructions and observe the centre’s signage regarding conservation and mandatory rules at all times.

  • During the tour, you must not touch the surfaces inside the cave.

  • The tour is guided and lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

  • During the visit, we recommend wearing comfortable, non-slip footwear and warm clothing.

  • The walk to the cave consists of a forest track and a footpath of some difficulty. Both sections are covered on foot, taking an estimated 30 minutes in total. On rainy days, you may encounter muddy and waterlogged sections.

  • The cave has no electrical supply. Torches are required and will be provided by the guide at the start of the tour.

  • The first 15 metres of the route inside the cave must be covered by crawling. Due to the low ceiling height on this first section, for your safety, the use of helmets and knee pads is compulsory; these will be provided by the guide.

  • Should the footpath leading to the cave be flooded by the Palombera reservoir, the tour will be cancelled.
