Conditions of the visits
 
  • To avoid crowds and encourage staggered access for visitors, please plan your visit well in advance, acquiring advance entry online. Once the ticket is purchased online, the date and time of the visit cannot be modified. The money will not be returned either.

  • Before going, please check the center’s availability to see if tickets are available.

  • Online purchases can be made up until 9:00 a.m. on the day of your visit and must be finalized at the ticket office, located at the Visitor Reception Center, near the cave entrance, waiting in line on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • The Visitor Reception Centre is located in the former Riclones schools. To find out where it is, click here.

  • To promote staggered access for visitors to the center, you must go between 20 to 30 minutes before the start of the visit.

  • There is a maximum capacity of 6 people per session.

  • Respect at all times the indications of the staff and the signs of the center regarding conservation.

  • During the visit, it is not alloweb to touch the surfaces of the cavity.

  • The visit is guided and lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

  • During the visit, the use of comfortable shoes that do not slip and warm clothing is recommended.

  • The pedestrian access to the cave is formed by a forest track and a pedestrian path, with some degree of difficulty in transit. Both sections are done on foot, in a time interval estimated at around 30 minutes. On rainy days it is possible to travel through sections of mud and water. 

  • The cave lacks electrical installation.  It’s necessary to use flashlights, which will be provided by the guide at the beginning of the visit.

  • The first 15 meters of the route inside the cavity are done crawling, due to the low height of this first section. The use of helmets and knee pads that will be provided by the guide for your safety.

  • In the event that the pedestrian access path to the cavity is flooded by the Palombera reservoir, the visit will be canceled.
